Whitney Bauck is an award-winning journalist.
She currently serves as print editor at the climate and culture magazine Atmos and is a contributing writer for the Guardian. She has also reported for the New York Times, the Financial Times, Bloomberg, the Washington Post, Grist, New York Magazine, MIT Tech Review, Rappler, Slate, Vogue Philippines, and more.
Whitney has held fellowships at the Solutions Journalism Network, the Metcalf Institute, and the Institute for Journalism and Natural Resources. She was a 2024 and 2025 Covering Climate Now award winner and a 2025 finalist for the Science in Society awards. She’s also sought-after public speaker who’s emceed conferences of over 1400 people, delivered keynotes, and moderated countless panels at venues like New York Climate Week, Princeton University, Georgetown University and more.
